The latest instalment in the Call of Duty series of console games is set to be one of the top Christmas presents this year, according to Play.com.
Released last month, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, which is currently available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, has become one of the fastest selling games in history, with reviewers claiming that it could also be the best shooter of all-time.
According to the online retailer, Take That’s The Circus Live DVD is also set to be a big Christmas seller, featuring a live recording of the group’s Wembley Stadium performance on their recent world tour.
In addition, Stuart Rowe, chief operating officer for Play.com, said that the Twilight series is selling “phenomenally well” across a number of categories.
Other items which could be big hits this year include the new version of Apple’s Macbook, plasma and LCD televisions and the iPhone 3GS which now has more than 100,000 applications in its App Store for owners to test out.
