Users of the Nokia E71 can now access the Facebook social networking site through a specialised application.
Nokia touchscreen devices have been able to access Facebook for a while but they have had to use the ungainly mobile version of the website.
However, the new client will allow people to do most of the things that they would be able to do on their desktop PC, such as update their status, add friends, send messages, browse photos and upload new snaps direct from the phone.
Other Nokia handsets such as the N95, N73, N85, N86 and E75 are also set to benefit from the new application, which is currently available to download for free from the Nokia Ovi Store.
Other top applications available in the Ovi Store include music detecting programme Shazam, the BBC iPlayer and the classic Sim City, which lets users build up a virtual world in their palm.
