Christmas stockings around the UK could be filled with Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch, according to a technology website.
Richard Sharp, founder of GadgetsandGizmos.org, said that the “versatile” products come pre-loaded with lots of great features and applications and are very easy to upgrade and enhance.
“You can do so much more than listen to music – you can play, research and organise your life on the move,” he said.
Mr Sharp added that part of the appeal of Apple’s products was based on envy from colleagues and friends who want to have the latest gadgets in their pocket.
Earlier this week, Experian Hitwise said that the iPod Touch and iPhone were the most searched for products this festive season.
It commented that visits to consumer electronics websites increased by 16.5 per cent between October 2009 and November 2009, the largest month-on-month increase in UK internet traffic to those types of websites this year.
