For people who lead busy lives and do not have time to catch up with the latest news, the Guardian has released an application which could help.
Priced at a reasonable £2.39, the Guardian application, which is now available for iPod Touch and iPhone users to download, is designed to give a “personal and relevant” news experience for people on the move.
iPod Touch owners can now access the latest stories, galleries and audio from one of the UK’s most popular newspaper.
It also gives full offline browsing capabilities, giving access to award-winning journalists such as Charlie Brooker, David Mitchell and George Monbiot.
Video content is not currently available, although the Guardian has said that it plans to incorporate this in future versions.
Jonathan Moore, mobile product manager for the newspaper, said: “Although browser technology is moving quickly, it’s clear that, for the time being at least, apps offer a unique opportunity to deliver an elevated experience on mobile that’s difficult to replicate elsewhere.”
