A new operating system for the iPhone and iPod Touch is set to be announced when Apple hold a conference at the end of this month.
It is expected that the technology giant will also announce plans to release its much-hyped iTablet at the event on January 27th.
Rumours are currently flying around the internet about what can be expected to be included in the new operating system, while others are also speculating that Apple could announce a brand new iPhone 4G device.
According to the Boy Genius Report, “trusty contacts” have said that the new operating system will make the iPhone as close to a fully-fledged computer than ever before.
It claimed that multi-touch gestures should make it in to the package, which will update through iTunes.
This will help people multitask, noting that the update will also allow people to run programs in the background.
Graphical changes are also expected to be included, which should make navigation easier, while a new synching feature is also “in the works”.
