A games publisher has claimed that one of its titles is sweeping the floor with its other rivals.
Jens Uwe Intat, vice-president of EA Europe, said that the firm’s Fifa 10 title has taken a massive share of the marketing, beating other titles from the likes of Konami and Sports Interactive.
He told MCV: “We continue to beat the heck out of Pro Evolution Soccer and across Europe we’re taking 75 per cent of the football space. Fifa was neck and neck with Modern Warfare 2 to be the best-selling game across Europe
The expert also claimed that this year’s Fifa title has been the fastest selling game in the series, beating other favourites including European Championship and Premier League editions.
Rumours are also growing that there is set to be a World Cup version, with Kotaku, Amazon and Gamefly giving a release date of April 27th.
EA has yet to confirm the title, although they have released a new game for every World Cup event for the last 12 years.
