One of the world’s most popular roleplay games is being made available to iPhone and iPod users this week.
Final Fantasy, which first appeared in 1987, is being launched on the Apple platforms as an app on Thursday (February 25th).
The game, which has been remastered ahead of its introduction to the App Store, is based on versions designed for the Sony PSP in 2007.
Game players can look forward to improved graphics on the iPhone version, while touch controls will also be a central feature.
Despite the game being launched in just two days, developers have yet to announce a price for Final Fantasy, with iPhone users having to access the App Store on the day to see how much it will set them back.
Developers are currently working on an update for the full version of Final Fantasy XI, which is expected to be released during the middle of next month. Both Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II are available for download.
