iPod Touch users given takeaway food application

Peckish iPod Touch owners can now order food from their handset and have it delivered, saving them from messing around with mountains of menus.

A new Wagamama application which is available to download for free from the App Store was launched earlier this week, meaning that people can now order their food and arrange to collect it at the touch of a few buttons.

iPod Touch owners will be asked to choose their preferred Wagamama restaurant, select the items that they want to order and then make a payment using a secure online system.

Steve Hill, chief executive of the pan-Asian food provider, said that he was “proud” that the firm was introducing the application to owners of the Apple device.

“It’s great to be bringing the speed and quality of Wagamama’s service to the latest in consumer technology,” he added.

A recent launch of a similar Domino’s Pizza application in Australia has led to the firm seeing a “significant” rise in sales.ADNFCR-2524-ID-19634031-ADNFCR
