Alan Wake release for Xbox 360 brought forward

New Xbox 360 game Alan Wake is to hit shops a week earlier than planned in the UK, which will no doubt please many owners of the console.

According to the official Xbox 360 website, the psychological action thriller from Remedy, will bring a new kind of storytelling to the system.

The developers also produced the Max Payne series of games where users played the eponymous character, but in this players take on the role of Alan Wake, a best-selling suspense author suffering from writer’s block.

He escapes to a small town only to find out that his wife mysteriously disappears.

The game is situated in the town of Bright Falls, Washington and is mission-based, with plenty of twists along the way.

Stephen McGill, director of Xbox, commented: "Fans in Europe have been crying out to get their hands on Alan Wake since it was first announced and we’re thrilled to be able to deliver it to them early."ADNFCR-2524-ID-19710823-ADNFCR
