iPod Touch users told of ways to get free applications

People looking to build up a library of their favourite applications on their iPod Touch for nothing have been told of a number of websites to try out.

PocketGamer.co.uk said that there are a variety of portals which highlight the best free applications every day, while dedicated apps also pick out the some of the top games in the App Store.

FreeAppaDay.com provides a newsletter, keeping iPod Touch fans up-to-date with which programmes are free on a certain day, while its updates can also be followed on Twitter.

The FreeAppCalendar website gives gamers a list of over 20 applications, with the ones receiving the most votes being available free of charge.

Furthermore, the BargainBin application lets users hunt for free games from a dedicated source on their phone.

Currently, Ow My Balls!, Vampires Live and Penalty Soccer are in the top five of the App Store’s free applications chart.ADNFCR-2524-ID-19762266-ADNFCR
