HD-ready TVs can add to World Cup fever

We are now around a month away from the biggest sporting event of the year kicking off in South Africa, and what better way to enjoy the World Cup than through a brand new television.

According to MoneyHospital, around half a million men have created a ‘den’ in their homes, while seven million have a designated ‘lads only’ section, complete with brand new television and beers at the ready.

Upgrading the Sky box to high definition will also provide viewers with a crystal clear viewing experience, while games consoles can also be hooked up to a new plasma television for pre and post match entertainment.

Robyn Hall, writing for MoneyHospital, stated that she has already got her Xbox system set up and a copy of 2010 FIFA World Cup ready for living room competitions.

However, Martyn Foulds, senior claims manager for Halifax Insurance, advised those splashing out on a new television prior to the World Cup to inform their insurer of all new items bought in case accidents and burglaries do happen.ADNFCR-2524-ID-19766579-ADNFCR
