The majority of laptop owners use their laptop to listen to their music, a new survey shows, which may prompt people to get good quality speakers on their computer.
A PC Pro study found that 72 of the 303 users questioned frequently listen to music, while 112 do so occasionally.
In particular the Apple MacBook Pro was praised for its speaker quality while Toshiba laptops were also praised in the research.
A reader of the computing advice website said his Macbook Pro speakers “are great” and have good sound, even while turned up loud.
“I use it anywhere in the house where I want to listen to my music,” he added.
Tim Danton, writing for the website, said that he prefers to listen to tunes on his laptop’s speakers as he does not always want to have earphones in.
Jeffy Hamster, a reader on the site, added: “I prefer to listen like this rather than cart peripherals around with a portable computer.”
