iPad Air Specs: Is It Time for an Upgrade?

posted by Evelina

The  iPad Air specs are: it’s much thinner than its predecessors and it has been designed to be much faster. Apple has re-invented tablets and made them very desirable and as a company they know how to win minds and hearts. The iPad Air has the same 64-bit Apple A7 processor  that is also found in the iPhone 5S, however compared to the iPhone 5S it is faster still as the iPad Air has a larger battery. This means that apps will launch faster and scrolling will go smoother.

The M7 coprocessor allows to perform several tasks without using as much battery.

The iPad Air is particularly good for playing graphic-heavy games or watching films and videos.

The iPad Air is about 30% thinner at 478g and lighter than the iPad 4; the battery is also lighter. It was designed to be easier to be carried around and to use. If you have an old version of the iPad and want to upgrade to the new iPad Air you may want to also look at the accessories like speakers.

The iPad Air has a 2048-by-1536-pixel Retina display, with a density of 264 pixels per inch. The tablet also features two microphones to improve sound when shooting videos and while having conversations on FaceTime.

The camera is 5 megapixel and has been improved with a backside illuminated sensor. The cover is either black and silver or white and silver.

If you need to do some work, the iPad Air, with the right applications, can be a good word processor and website builder. For lengthy documents though you may want to get a Bluetooth keyboard.

Currently the iPad Air does not feature fingerprint-identification technology while the new iPhone 5S does.

Are you ready for an upgrade?  The new iPad Air on MadBid will be in high demand so expect the bidding to go crazy while the iPad Air frenzy is in full swing.
